Hull and Machinery survey is usually performed in order to inspect, fix and measure damage caused by an incident affecting hull of the vessel or her machinery.

During such survey a surveyor not only performs a visual overview of damages but also calculates loss proposing where possible an applicable and recommended approach to minimize same in the future.
